A message from our president...
On behalf of the Alpha Beta chapter of Chi Omega, welcome! My name is Gracie Barranco and I am honored to be serving as President. Our hope is that as you view our website, you get to know our chapter a little better and see some of the things that make us one-of-a-kind!

I have been beyond blessed to be surrounded by these incredible women during my time at Auburn. During my own recruitment experience, I was instantly drawn to Chi Omega. I saw girls who welcomed and accepted me for who I was, girls who were goofy and fun, and girls who inspired me to strive for greatness.

Chi Omegas are truly a well-rounded and diverse group of women! We seek to foster individual growth among each of our chapter members so that they can positively impact our university and community. Whether that be their involvement in the Student Government Association, War Eagle Girls and Plainsman, Auburn Cheer, or leadership within their church, it is hard to find an organization that doesn’t have a Chi Omega in it. Their activities and interests are extremely varied, yet combined they reflect our hearts of service to the university and surrounding community.

For me, Chi Omega is a source of encouragement, a source of inspiration, but most importantly it is where my best friends are. I fell in love with Chi Omega on my Bid Day in 2021 and since then I have only grown to love it even more. Every night I come home to my roommates and best friends. They lift me up, they keep me going, and I have Chi Omega to thank for this. I can confidently say this chapter has helped shape me into who I am and continues to help me become a leader.

Whether you are an incoming freshman, an active member, an alumna, or just a big Auburn fan, my advice to you would be to lean in deeply to life-giving friendships, take chances, and always strive to lift others up. My prayer as President is to reflect on the ideals and characteristics that sorority life brings to every woman who participates in it. Glory be to God for the women who have entrusted me to lead this chapter. I am so grateful for each of them. Thank you for stopping by!

XOXO,
Gracie Barranco
Alpha Beta Chapter President
The Chi Omega Symphony
“To live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place scholarship
before social obligations and character before appearances; to be,
in the best sense, democratic rather than ‘exclusive’, and lovable rather
than ‘popular’; to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to
choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscience demand;
to be womanly always; to be discouraged never; in a word, to be loyal under any
and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings
and to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of
high purpose and helpfulness in which there is no discordant note.”
